"Is it possible to skip the sequel to the Hero and delve into the heartfelt stories of the children in these books?
I am eager to explore their journey and see how they have grown and evolved."
These are the words after reading Keyhole Hero from one of my supporters recently. She said I know you think I am crazy, but I honestly can’t wait for these.
I didn’t think she was outlandish;
feedback is most meaningful to an author or writer.
That’s why I didn’t rush to release the sequel.
It’s coming.
Hold on.
My son, Eric, spent a week with us. He is such a distinguished gentleman.
I watched him open the door for his future fiancée, etc.,
and continually treat her like a lady.
Since he was young,
I knew he was this guy.
It’s beautiful when what you know immediately at the birth of your son
manifests into a man.
Thank You God.
Now that he’s returned to Kansas,
his stationing place,
I am reminiscing
on the
sweet and show
moments
I miss him.
Sitting down to a meal with my son and Elizabeth,
at my favorite restaurant
he graciously unfolds my napkin and utters,
Eric: Hey Ms. Waiter—
Me: 🙇🏽♀️
What he meant was:
“Excuse me, waiter,
Eric: but it seems my mother has been given two #salad forks.
Me: 🙃
Eric: This church lady—-
Me: 👀
What he meant was:
This woman of faith …
Eric: will punch Jesus in your gut and make you believe in Him
ME: 😒🫣😳
WHAT HE MEANT WAS:
would not hesitate to defend her beliefs,
even if it means confronting any obstacle in our path🤭.
I couldn't help but feel a mix of fulfillment and slight mortification at that moment,
realizing the strong values I have instilled in him."
During a bottomless family discussion about life, my son humbly requests,
but not before saying this:
“Yeah, Mom, I can’t keep up with what you just said.”
He goes on to say…
“Mom, please do me a favor.
Eric: Can you think like a human and not like you are fused with God for a little while?
Me: 🤔
That statement was mindboggling to me; I wish he could tell the reenactment of what happened in that moment.
I was truly baffled.
My mom often told me Cassandra, you are seeing it in the eyes of Jesus.
I would always respond with, well, Mom, isn’t that what I am supposed to do?
When it came from my son’s declaration,
it made me scratch my head.
And then he adds,
Forget about everyone else for a while and focus on yourself."
I don’t think I will do it entirely, but I understood his heart towards me instantly.
What he meant was:
"Furthermore, can you try to see things from a human perspective rather than enduring to understand everything beyond comprehension?
He said in so many words:
I find it hard to keep up with your profound insights."
Then he literally starts guiding me through the process by pointing at his eyes.
True story.
Eric: Try looking at it with your eyes only, being a human.
Me: 😵💫
In other words:
He advises,
"Start by observing with your own eyes,
then engage your brain,
and you will witness the transformative power of embracing life from a different angle."
Me: 🥴🥴🥴
I am still in awe of his wisdom and grateful for our illuminating conversation.
This adult child perceived me as someone who embodies strength, faith, and wisdom.
It appeared he appreciated my dedication to family and admired the values I have instilled in him.
To hear him say he saw me as a source of guidance, someone who leads by example and encourages them to seek a deeper understanding of life, was mindblowing.
Sometimes, we leave the earth without these conversations.
I pray you have these with your family members as well.
My thoughts are this:
I understand this is my most free state to write without worrying about a spouse or someone having a problem with the truth I intend to tell.
Free to be me.
Thank you for keeping up with my blog; I and my key to writing appreciate you.
What are your children and supporters bidding from you?
How do those who know you confidentially perceive you?
What inquiries have astonished you in the best way lately?
#Feedback is such a necessary assessment for proper growth.
